As an internet geek I really love freebies and they are one the best form of softwares that tend to help people like me who are poor. While looking for a POS (Point of sale) software for my friend I found it very difficult to find a free software he could use and that was up to date. I say this because if you google for free POS software all you find in that is grandfather old software.
SourceForge.net is an open source community where people post whatever they make and want to share it with the world. Of course I know that free softwares are not the best but in some cases when I was looking for a “batch file renamer” I couldn’t find a free software, but tried it on sourceForge I had quite a lot of entries in there. Basically it has lots of stuffs in it and I highly recommend it when you are looking for a freeware!
Nice free POS software that I found even supports touch screen, isn’t that a lot for a free software? Well its called OpenBravo POS. It’s a good software as my friend is being using it for the past 2 weeks and it works like a charm.
