For my digital photography class we were required to do a photo essay on any topic we desired. I really wanted to show Bangkok at its finest by taking some nice pictures of the red shirts, but it was the first DON’T in the requirements for the final project. The next thing that came in thoughts was to shoot a roadside food shop, but none of them agreed to take the picture of them. So as a last resort I went to my dad’s gemstone lapidary to get these pictures. I was not happy when I knew I need to take picture of something that I don’t like. But it turned out to be an awesome trip. I came to know why my dad loves this business so much.

There is so much detail to this craftsmanship and the photo’s also turned out to be great. I hope this will be a nice photo essay example for Bangkok gem industry.

I was really upset. Because my teacher before the trip made it sound as if our trip was a privileged one. Unfortunately for us there were nothing so much interesting. I have added some pictures I took over there and I hope you like it.

Overall it was a nice trip but I accepted too much. For more information see at wikipedia.

I know this sounds scary but this is what I have been riding through this whole time. I go through the main red shirts strike spot with so much difficulty but manage to get through them always. Here are some of the shot on my way to university everyday. All images were taken from my excellent camera Canon 500D with the help of my bike. Yes I took these images on the move isn’t that amazing. These images of the red shirt protesters were taken on Silom road intersection Sala Daeng.

These images have not been retouched.
